Zero Discharge Willow Beds are now considered the most ecologically friendly and sustainable way to treat septic tank wastewater. In many sites, a typically constructed percolation area may not work. In areas where the rate of percolation of the soil is greater than 90, a zero discharge willow bed is the best solution that is guaranteed to work.

Adare Biocare has years of experience in the design and development of willow beds in various parts of Ireland. The company has also worked on three research projects with the Environmental Engineering Group in Trinity College Dublin, constructing zero discharge willow treatment systems for single house wastewater treatment and disposal systems in Wexford and Leitrim. These are new waste water technology systems for Ireland which Trinity College are researching on behalf of Wexford County Council and the EPA.

All sites involved in this project had to meet strict Trinity College engineering standards (as the systems are being monitored for research purposes) and required innovative construction methods. Adare Biocare completed all projects to the highest standard, on time and within budget.

Adare Biocare, on request will carry out a preliminary site investigation and determine if your site has the criteria for a willow bed. Our engineers can design, prepare and do complete ground works required for a full willow bed system. We are experienced in the design and commissioning of zero discharge willow beds for applications from a single dwelling house all the way up to large housing schemes.

Adare Biocare Services Include:

  • Design the zero discharge willow bed (to local county council or architect requirements).
  • Construct the full willow bed system.
  • Supervise the construction of the entire project.
  • Certify the constructed zero discharge willow bed.

We offer a 24 hour emergency call-out service. Contact Adare Biocare now at 061-395819 for preliminary discussion or to request a site investigation.
